Clean Chick Flicks

Sorry I have not posted in so long!! I have been really busy with summer stuff and almost forgot about blogging at all.

Lately I have really been wanting to watch a funny chic flick that I have not seen before. However, it seems that the movie industry has it in their head that in order for a movie to be good, there has to be explicit scenes in it. I have a different idea on this matter. As most Christian teens should do, I try to base my entertainment around Philippians 4:8: "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."

If you have been of the same opinion, here are some movies that I've seen, and enjoyed. If you can think of any that I have not listed, and classify as clean chic flicks, PLEASE COMMENT!! I would love to hear your opinion on this matter, as well as any suggestions. So, here is my list:

While You Were Sleeping,

The perfect Man,

Pride and prejudice (2005 version),

Mansfield Park (2007 version),

Sense and Sensibility (1995 version),

A Walk to Remember,

The Prince and Me 2 (the first one is a little too trashy for me, and the second makes sense without watching the first one),

Tuck Everlasting (this one is a bit on the corny side, but still fun),

The Lake House,

Anne of Green Gables,

Mostly clean (fast-forwarding when a scene comes)

Bride Wars,

No Reservations,

Julie & Julia,

Shall We Dance,

Becoming Jane (this one is on the line between clean and mostly clean because there is only a brief glance)

I'm sure there are more that I've seen and enjoy, I just can't think of them right now.

Hopefully some time next week I will blog about clean action movies that I enjoyed. Eventually I will move on to chic lit. Please email or comment any suggestions or opinions on this subject.
